Jazz 5000 & 6000 Series of high-end servers powered Bull® are based on the latest generation of Intel® Itanium® 2 processors..

:: Jazz 5000 & 6000 Series

Jazz Series servers are a real alternative to large traditional servers in the data centre. These modular, mainframe-class servers benefit from Bull’s expertise in large enterprise systems.

They combine computing power with cost-effective standards and support Windows® and Linux®.

:: Industry leading price-performance ratio

The outstanding price/performance ratio of Jazz 5000 & 6000 Series is achieved thanks to the low cost of ownership of standard technologies on which they are based, combined with their breakthrough performance and scalability.

The Intel® Itanium® architecture of Jazz Series servers is built on the EPIC technology (Explicitly Parallel Instruction Computing) designed for complex business critical and technical applications. EPIC overcomes the limitations of traditional architectures and paves the way for more cost-effective performance scaling.

The EPIC technology delivers compute-parallelism, scalability and reliability for large databases, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Business  Intelligence (BI) and other High Performance Computing (HPC) and data-intensive applications.

:: High levels of power and modularity

The architecture of Jazz 5000 & 6000 Series delivers SMP
(Symmetrical Multi Processing) servers based on two to 32 processors and clusters up to hundreds of servers. In addition, the Jazz 6000 Series benefits from flexible physical partitioning functions.

:: Outstanding scalability

The outstanding scalability of Jazz 5000 & 6000 Series is
provided by the Bull FSS (FAME Scalability Switch) and the Intel® E8870 chipset interconnecting Intel® Itanium® 2 processors in order to deliver high performance 8 - 16 - or 32-way servers.
Both series offer extended investment protection by supporting future generations of the Intel® Itanium®2 processor family.
